Creating a mobile experience that turns complex finance into simple, everyday actions 💡📱
SRMACS is the official customer app of Srikara Cooperative Society, built to digitize loan management for users across India. The app simplifies complex financial data, enabling customers to easily track loans, repayments, and collections from their phones.
As the UX/UI Designer, I collaborated over 12 weeks to design a seamless experience across Android and iOS. Our focus was on accessibility, trust, and reducing the need for in-person support—ensuring every user, regardless of digital literacy, could confidently manage their financial journey.

simplifies loan management and builds digital trust. Collaborating with the development and operations teams, I focused on creating a seamless, intuitive, and accessible experience that empowers customers
Problem
Customers face challenges with fragmented onboarding and payment processes spread across agents, offices, and apps. Manual approvals and dependency on agents lead to delays, confusion, and lack of real-time clarity. This creates gaps in transparency, consistency, and user trust throughout the loan and account creation journey.
Goal
To design a unified mobile experience that streamlines onboarding, simplifies KYC and payments,
reduces agent dependency, and delivers real-time updates. The goal is to create a transparent,
efficient, and self-service platform where customers can confidently complete their financial journey end-to-end — from onboarding to repayment — with minimal friction.

My Role
As part of a focused two-member design team, I led the experience strategy, component structuring, and visual direction for the SRMACS mobile app while mentoring a junior designer. Together, we designed layout systems, wireframes, and high-fidelity screens that reflected Srikara Cooperative Society’s values of trust, transparency, and simplicity. Collaborating closely with product and development teams, we ensured the design vision was consistently executed and user-centric decisions guided the project.

Srikara Cooperative Society is a community-driven financial institution serving individuals and small businesses in India, known for its transparent and accessible services, Srikara aims to empower customers through responsible lending and savings.
To support its growing user base, we designed SRMACS, a mobile app that digitizes key services—allowing users to track loans, view payments, and manage their finances on the go.
⚡️ The Challenge: Simplifying finance for semi-digital users
The app needed to be clear, trustworthy, and easy to use for customers with limited digital experience—while aligning with Srikara’s values and operational structure.
Observation
75% User Preferred Mobile
Most customers chose the app over in-person visits for managing loans and payments.
65% First-Time Digital Users
A large portion of users were new to financial apps, highlighting the need for intuitive design.
75% Engaged with Reminders
Payment notifications significantly improved on-time repayment behavior.
Result
After multiple feedback rounds and iterations, we launched the SRMACS app—designed to be clear, accessible, and user-friendly. It offers a seamless experience across Android and iOS, allowing users to track loans, repayments, and collections with ease.
Seeing the app go live and actively used by customers was incredibly rewarding. The design not only simplifies financial management but also reflects Srikara’s core values of transparency and trust.
